Number of people freed from totalitarian dictatorships by anti-American Bush-bashing terrorist-appeasing whining elitists:
Zero. Ever.
...

The problem seems to me to be the definition of "free speech". Liberals define it as anything they want to say or do that opposes America. I say "speech" ends where "action" begins. Once you pick up a gun for the enemy, throw a rock at a cop during a "peace" march, send money to a terrorist organisation, or travel to Baghdad to block an American JDAM with your ass, you have crossed the line from free speech to costly action.
...

Saying the War on Terror is all about al-Qaeda is like saying we should have fought the Japanese Naval Air Force after Pearl Harbor. Not the Japanese Navy, not the Japanese Army, not the Empire of Japan -- just the Naval Air Force.
...

Complaining about the "waste" when human embryos are destroyed instead of being used in medical experiments is a lot like going to a funeral and complaining about the waste of perfectly good meat.
...

Blaming CO2 for climate change is like blaming smoke for the fire. CO2 is largely a following, not a leading, indicator of a rise in temperature.
...

Cavalier's First Theorem:
Every time, Liberals will fight to protect the guilty and kill the innocent, while Conservatives will fight to protect the innocent and punish the guilty.

Cavalier's Second Theorem:
Liberals are just Socialists who want to be loved... then again, Socialists are just Communists who lack the courage of their convictions.

Cavalier's Third Theorem:
Any strongly moral, hawkish or pro-American statement by a Liberal will inevitably be followed by a "but."

Al-Qaeda Wins the Spanish Election

With the overthrow of Jose Maria Aznar's "Popular Party" in the Spanish elections yesterday, al-Qaeda has learned some very important things. By setting off a few bombs with the probable assistance of the Basque separatist group Eta and killing a "mere" two hundred people or so, they have learned that that can cow an entire nation into appeasing them to avoid further attacks. Like any bully or blackmailer, they'll be back when they want more concessions from the socialist Spanish government. Next time, all they have to do is threaten an attack to get their way. In a cave somewhere on the Afghanistan-Pakistan border, Osama bin Laden and Mullah Omar are exchanging high-fives.

Al Qaeda has learned that they have the ability to control elections in supposedly democratic countries with violence.  Does anyone really think that having proven this ability, they won't use it? One thing the Spanish appeasers have done is guarantee a wave of terrorist violence just before the November elections.

Not only have we lost a valuable ally in the War on Terror, we have lost an entire Western nation to the socialists, who lost power in 1996 due to widespread corruption. Middle East expert Mansoor Ijaz said, "This particular election result in Spain is probably the single most important event that has taken place since the attacks on Sept. 11 because it demonstrates that terrorism, in fact, can pay." He added, "And now one of the governments that supported the United States has fallen."

It's a black day for democracy, freedom, and the fight against worldwide terrorism.

Terrorism works...until we decide it does not anymore!
Have you seen the baby version of terrorisme between kids?
Stars at an early age... it developps into a loud monster if left alone.
I can't see how Spain can fight terrorism, while getting out of Iraq and joining the the UN chorus? They can't possibly, they'd look worse than us, Canadians.

You are SO right about that. The announcement of the election results sent a shiver up my spine. The population of an entire country just rolled over for the terrorists. Those poor misguided people.

I was already worried about how the majority of Americans have already almost forgotten about 9/11 and have the attitude that 9/11 was just a horrific "event" (same as Danny Glover's assessment) and nothing else has happened since, so we are "safe" - and the admin is scaring people unnecessarily. Besides, since the attacks were all on the East Coast, folks in the rest of the nation seem to think that it won't happen in their neck of the woods - they don't seem to understand that it could have happened in their area of the country if the admin had not taken the steps of grounding all flights!

My sister works for the local police dept and has seen some of the reports of attempts at terrorism that have been STOPPED but were never reported to the general public as such. She told me of one attempt where the bolts were being loosened on major bridges and power transmission towers in an attempt to cause them to collapse. (Golden Gate bridge was one of the bridges.) These attempts were discovered in time to be stopped.

I, too, believe that there are major attacks planned for our immediate future in an attempt to steet the results of our Pres election. (Maybe one of the "international leaders" that JFK has been has spouting off about them giving him their support for election was Usama....)

Oh, BTW, Spain's new Prime Minister loves Kerry, too. So, add one more Socialist buddy for the Democratic candidate. This is what I just read:
Socialist leader Jose Luis Rodriquez Zapatero, who won an upset election victory over Spain's Prime Minister Jose Maria Aznar on Sunday on a platform of withdrawing Spain's troops from Iraq, has endorsed Sen. John Kerry in the upcoming presidential election. "I think Kerry will win. I want Kerry to win," Zapatero told Britain's Guardian newspaper, just four days before he swept to victory riding a wave of anti-U.S. feeling sparked by the al Qaeda train bombings in Madrid.

Kerry should be proud of himself, if he gets elected he will be furthering the cause of Socialism.

That's a good one, Gary... but you have to give the French this: at least they never voted the Vichy collaborationist government into power in a general election.
Jamie

> at least they never voted the
> Vichy collaborationist
> government into power in a
> general election.

That's only because they haven't had to. They already have a Socialist in power. Their govt has already conceded the fight to the terrorists and will roll over at the first sign of trouble. (The banning of Muslim head scarves on school girls was just a ruse.)

BTW - the Socialist who was voted into power only received somewhere around 42% of the vote. About 38% went to the Conservative Party and the other 15% to 20% went to various other candidates on the ballot. It wasn't exactly an overwhelming victory for the spineless weenie guy who, BTW, just LOVES John Kerry. (You know, the guy who served in Vietnam). So, about 1/2 of the people in the country will have to suffer because of the actions of the other half!

Ah, Democracy, don't we just love it.

Not only was he THERE for 4 whole months, he was a He-ro!

That ad on the F'n Kerry site is priceless - its SO true. I'll bet if more people were aware of his actual testimony and the fact that others in his group lied about who they were, they would not be so keen to support him. But they will never know since the media will keep it quiet. I've been telling as many people as I can about it. Even though most Alabamians support Bush, there are some transplanted Yankees here and some of those good ole "traditional Democrats" who will vote for Kerry without knowing a thing about him!
Jamie

There is a great article "How to Stage a Controversy" at Weekly Standard about the controversy over Bush's ads and 9/11. Its gives the background of the people who protested the ads and details about their group's funding. (Heinz foundation money..... hmmm, that's interesting.)

Right on the money Cav X. Look for the terrorists to start all sorts of election bombing campaigns. I imagine that the next target will be either us or Blair in Britian. I think an attack on us would backfire, but who knows, the democrats opposed Afganistan, they just didn't speak up about it.

Did we have UN permission to invade Afganistan?
Jamie G

THIS JUST OUT:
Al Jazeera, the Arab news network considered by Westerners to be the voice of al-Qaida, is praising likely Democratic presidential nominee John Kerry as "a popular mainstream Democrat with liberal tendencies, [who] has been widely seen as a good compromise candidate in a divided party."

I guess they agree with the "world leaders" who support Kerry - people like Kim Jong Il and the new Prime Minister of Spain, among others who choose to remain nameless (France, Germany, Syria, Lebanon, etc).
JM
March 16, 2004   09:58 PM PST

Okay, so Kerry is supported by a) socialists, b) anti-Americans and/or c) brutal dictators around the world. HELLO?!?
Jamie
March 17, 2004   08:33 AM PST

WE both know that. I think we both knew it before all the talk about the "world leaders" backing him. So, why don't a lot of Americans seem to realize it?

Its going to be a long 8 months.
Jamie G

This ought to be worth watching...

Historic first
For the first time, the chairmen of the Democratic and Republican parties will engage in a formal debate: Republican National Committee Chairman Ed Gillespie will go head-to-head tomorrow night with Democratic National Committee Chairman Terry McAuliffe.
The 8 p.m. presidential-style debate, to be moderated by George Stephanopoulos of ABC's "This Week," is hosted by Catholic University in Washington, the alma mater of both party leaders.

I really can't stand that smarmy guy (McAuliffe), but I intend to try to watch it.

Howard Dean has stuck his foot in his mouth yet again...and has said that GW is responsible for the deaths in Spain. His source? The Al Quaida statement claiming responsibility. Apparently he relies or them for his information! Maybe its the same source of the rumor he heard about GS knowing about 9/11 before it happened. Do ya think?
JM
March 17, 2004   11:04 AM PST

Frankly, I hope Howard Dean never shuts up. He really does speak for the left wing of the Democratic party, the direct opposite (within the ranks) of people like Zell Miller and John Breux. It's not surprising he gets his "information" from al-Jazeera. Why not; Dennis Kucinich gets HIS info from little green men in spaceships.
JM
March 17, 2004   11:08 AM PST

I may watch the debate, but I'd better have a few drinks first, or I might scream at the tv when that lying little weasel starts making his disgusting backstabbing insinuations against GWB. He just does it to make accusations, even when he knows damn well he's lying. He figures if he throws enough mud, some will stick just by repetition. Hey, Terry! If you have some facts, let's SEE 'em!!
See, I'm starting already. :)
Jamie G
March 17, 2004   11:36 AM PST

So you yell at your TV, too. Now I don't feel so bad (or crazy- :)!). When I watch tv at night, my pets think I'm nuts as I get so angry at the lying weasels that I could just spit. And since animals are so sensitive to moods, mine think I'm mad at them. I hate liars. Like I said, McA is a smarmy little b-tard. He always has that smirk on his face. I doubt that Stephanopolous calls McA on any of his blatant lies. although Gillespie might get in a few - he's a sharp cookie.

Maybe the subject of scandals like Enron will come up and little Georgie will ask McA about his sweet deal with Global Crossings before they went under...... THAT will never happen.

As for Dean, the article I read about it sure made it sound like his "handler" was really embarrassed about his foot-in-mouth disease! The Dem Party sure has some nuts in it! Why do people vote for guys like them? Crazy.
