| Heather December 27, 2005 02:27 PM PST I noticed that you extremist right wing neocons are so arrogant in defending your extremist neoconservative ideological proclivities, I have read your blogs small percentage I agree with the majority i do not. Having prefaced that I will say this much, first, I am an Independent, second, I do not suscribe to this frenetic ideological stand the neocons have on terrorism that all extreme actions are justified in the war on terror. Basically I have a problem with a leader [Bush] who showd his ignoble lack of courage countless times, the primary example of this being his refusal to serve this country in war, why did Bush refuse to serve regular Air Force or any branch of military? why did he only choose the Air National Guard? i think the answer is obvious. I have to be skeptical of a leader who is willing to be president but who will use guile and cunning to increase the odds in his favor to avoid serving in Vietnam. I am from the old school that says I cannot ask others to do what I am not willingto do myself, this is a major reason I respect a Sen. John McCain, and why I will support him in '08 should he decide to run and it looks likely he will. I hope Sen. McCain will lead by honesty where Bush has lead by deceit. I am not a liberal by any stretch I cannot feel at home with liberals as i find them as extremist as the neocons at least in the social sphere I find their pro-gay pro-gay marriage, anti-christian and extreme views on enviormental issues repugnant, and in that respect I am a social conservative, on the other hand I believe in social programs for the poor elderly and handicapped, i believe in a fair and standard minimum wage for american citizens, to do not support or agree with nafta or its sister cafta I do not believe Bush should bypass the fisa courts he could have easily obtained warrants. I do not support immediate troop withdrawal Bush got us into this mess and unfortunately I feel now that we need to employ a military presence there indefinately, because if we did withdraw i belive a bloody coup would ensue leading to something similar that happened in Iran with the Shah during Carter's presidency. Well my time is up and I thank you for yours...I will reply more in future visits God willing Sincerely, Heather | ||
| JM December 27, 2005 06:25 PM PST How do you follow a classic comedy routine like Heather's? It's such a typical raving Liberal rant that I cracked up half a dozen times while reading it. I've seen it all so many time before, and refuted each and every "point" somewhere on this site already. Shotgunning out wild, baseless accusations against Bush and "extremist right wing neocons," insulting the military, attacking free trade, promoting socialist programs, yelling "Bush got us into this mess" without having the slightest clue what's really happening in Iraq... and then, laughably, insisting that she's not a Liberal. Ha! It's obvious that logic, reason and facts are entirely wasted on her and all those who think like her. | ||
| SalGal December 27, 2005 11:48 PM PST What the hell, I thought this was a Merry Christmas post? Where did she get that from?? | ||
| JM December 28, 2005 05:11 AM PST Well, that's a Liberal "holiday" greeting for ya. A great big heaping helping of lunacy and hate for everyone! | ||
| Laura December 28, 2005 03:50 PM PST Merry Christmas to you Heather. You certainly sound like a liberal to me. But you can call yourself whatever you like. I take issue with your bashing of the President though . But I will not debate you about it until you grow up mentally. My advice is to channel that energy used in hate to become more American and Patriotic and knowledgable about the issues. | ||
| Watcher December 28, 2005 07:13 PM PST Heather... how can you say that you oppose the neocon agenda, but then say you still support the ongoing quagmire in Iraq? Or do you just accept at face value the propaganda spouted by right-wing news outlets like CNN? Isn't it obvious that Smirky's little crusade to spread Christmas and puppies to the Middle East is only creating more Bin Ladens and Zarqawis? They are only fighting for their own freedom... we should just leave and let them have it! | ||
| Paladin December 29, 2005 04:49 PM PST Yes let us leave so they may be free to have the blood bath that will follow. As all the good work that is being done over there is wiped away by those who use terror and intimadation roll in and resume thier evil ways AGAIN. THEN when the dems get back into power they can go back over and have to fight for the peoples freedom again. Then say SEE this is what the "other" party should have done. Get a clue man. We're there for a GOOD reason. Lets finish what we started and make sure it's done right........Or should i say correctly so as not to offend you?? | ||
